This page collects projects and interests adjacent to, but outside, my formal research activities.
I began playing backgammon seriously in 2025. I play regularly in several clubs around the city and am beginning to compete in tournaments. Below are some of my contributions to the game.
Up-minus-down Pip Count

xgid2anki
A command-line tool that converts collections of backgammon positions (XGIDs) into interactive Anki decks for structured study.
I have two daughters in the NYC public school system. The parents, teachers, and principal at our local school all agree that students do not receive enough practice with basic arithmetic skills. I therefore created DailyMath.education, a website that automatically generates worksheets for arithmetic fluency. I am developing it incrementally as my eldest daughter progresses through the curriculum.
